3 Ways to Gain Healthy Weight for Skinny People

We collected a few simple tips on how to gain healthy weight naturally and fast without pills or hard work!
There is so much information about weight loss, but how do you act to achieve the opposite? The basic principles are the same for losing and gaining extra weight. Are you a “hard gainer” or just want to build up lean muscles?

Change your diet 1:05
Eat more protein-rich foods 2:28
Always carry a healthy snack 3:20
Diet on vegs and fruits 3:42
Build your muscles 4:34
Stay motivated 6:20

– Since our body composition is 80% diet, we should not ignore the cruсial role of food in a weight gain struggle. An average person needs around 3500 calories to gain a pound. You need an extra 500 calories a day if you want to put on extra weight in a week.
– Protein is the key for muscle building; it will help you gain muscle weight rather than fat mass. Good sources of protein are red meat and poultry, eggs, whole grains. Salmon is high in calories and healthy fats. Yogurt is high in protein too.
– Olives and cheese are great when you want something fresh and new. Carry energy-dense snacks to fill your hunger when you’re out.
– Choose avocado, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and corn. Fruits like bananas, blueberries, grapes, and mangoes can give you calories and fiber.
– Eat as much as you want, but avoid feeling bloated and extra-full. For a hard gainer, eating 5-6 times a day should be enough. Remember to make your portions smaller and diverse. Eat one small snack one hour before bed; it will help you gain weight.
– The basis of your training should consist of squats, deadlifts, presses, and push-ups. These train multiple muscles and familiar to all. If you see the progress in weight gain in a week or two, feel free to add in other exercises. Cardio strengthens your heart and burns chubby belly fat.
– As soon as this thought was planted, it grows and develops to become a reality and put you into action. So, please, don’t underestimate the power of an idea. Be strongly committed to what you started and remember why you did. We advise you track your success.

Not Losing Weight on the Ketogenic Diet: #1 Reason

Intermittent Fasting Mini-Course:

Dr. Berg App: Do a search for Dr. Berg App in iTunes and Google Play

Basics of Ketogenic Diet:

Take Dr. Berg’s Free Keto Mini-Course: or go here:

Download Keto Essentials

Dr. Berg talks about not losing weight on ketogenic diet. The biggest reason for that is not using intermittent fasting effectively. In healthy ketosis, it takes a while to burn the dietary fat and to turn it into ketones especially if your metabolism is slow. So if you are consuming three meals a day while doing keto(ketogenic diet) and your metabolism is not fast, you are not giving your bodies enough time to use all the energy from the dietary fat.

What to do?
Do from three meals a day down to two meals and into one. The way to transition from three meals to one is by your own hunger. If you are not hungry, don’t eat. Let your body adjust to a point where you can go longer and longer. The big point is when you are fasting, you are not starving and you are running on your stored fuel.

Weight loss is not just about being in ketosis and testing from the urine because the ketosis can also be coming from dietary fat and not in your own fat reserve that causes you to not lose weight.

Five children from Lakshmi and Fusco’s Schools in the the city donned the chef’s apron and made sandwiches at the International Chef’s Day celebrations, held recently by South India Chefs Association (SICA). The kids also got a chance to interact with chefs on healthy eating habits and easy-to-make breakfast recipes apart from winning prizes from celebrity chef Damu.

“The theme of this year’s International Chef’s Day is ‘Healthy Foods for Growing Up’ and we thought why not rope in children themselves to take part in the event,” says Chef M.S. Rajmohan, one of the organisers. “We preferred making sandwiches as they are colourful, healthy, tasty and liked by all age groups.”

Leo Robert, Principal of Bell Institute of Hotel Management, Sivakasi, says that traditional healthy recipes are becoming a trend in the Food and Beverages industry. “Both globally and locally, people are shunning ready-to-eat processed food items and turning back to old methods of cooking.” The event also had a panel discussion involving hoteliers, restaurateurs, chefs and home cooks on eating healthy. “We see a huge number of health-conscious people going back to karupatti, brown sugar and millets, while youngsters are lapping up various diets and are up-to-date with modern health trends.”

Chef Damu, says, “The idea is to wean off children from junk and instant packed food, deter them from eating out often and instead make them appreciate what’s cooked at home.” He adds, “The chef community should also learn more of the lesser-known traditional recipes from grandmothers and mothers and cook with love and affection, so that people relish the goodness of what they eat.”

“It’s important to pass on the knowledge of recipes to the younger generation. For instance, not many of us know to make a perfect kanji even though it’s simple,” says Alima Banu Sikandar of Palakarangal NGO, that brought in the children.
