Green tea has been gaining widespread and increased fane and attention all over the world as an effective weight loss product.

This makes green tea a popular choice for weight loss enthusiasts.
Because of its antioxidant and nutritional value, green tea has significantly been linked to enormous health benefits, and these include weight loss.

Green tea has been used for decades in traditional Chinese medicine in treating many different health conditions.

How Much Green Tea Should You Drink to Lose Weight?

Drink about two to three cups of green tea per day. This is enough for supplementing your weight loss. This is what a study conducted by the University of Maryland Medical Centre recommends.

The exact amount of green tea varies from one person to the other depending on their natural metabolisms.

When is the Best Time to Drink Green Tea for Effective Weight Loss?

1. Don’t drink too early in the morning

Drinking green tea on an empty stomach in the morning can cause bad effects on the liver because of its high content of catechins.
2. Between meals is best

You can drink a cup of green tea two hours before or after meals, it increases nutrient intake and absorption.

3. Drink before exercise

Green tea has caffeine which increases the fat burning rate it also gives you the energy to exercise more.

4. Two hours before bedtime

Taking Green tea before bedtime is not a good idea since the caffeine can disturb your sleep. It contains the amino acid of L-Theanine which makes you awake and concentrate better.

The Proper Way of Preparing Green Tea
In terms of enjoying the taste of green tea, the way you brew your green tea can create a big difference. Don’t overheat the water because excess boiling can cause damage to the catechins.
For great taste and best result, boil the water and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes. You will then pour the water into the tea leaves and brew this for one minute before pulling out green tea leaves.

Green tea is available in different varieties, but in terms of weight loss, there isn’t much difference between them.

Minimally processed and plain green teas have the richest nutritional contents and therefore considered perfect for weight loss and many other significant health benefits.
